I've been having a look through the creative section here and there are some great photos.
Thought I would share with you a smoke trail.

wow how did you do this ???? is it alot of photoshop secrets?!
 
Superb, looks like a raging bull to me.
It is tack sharp and the colours complete the image. (y)
 
The focus on this is as Graham (UG) said perfect (y) which I understand can be an issue with smoke at, and I see where you are coming from with the title of this piece (y) keep up the great work

The tutorial that Matt linked to looks very good.
The only thing I did in addition was crop the image to a point where I could copy the image and flip horizontally to make the 'head'.
