These were taken a few weeks back but I've only just got round to putting the first two online :bonk:

This first one, I've noticed that the windows are a little (well quite a bit) blown but I still liked the main interior and as I remember it those were not stained glass so it's not like I've lost detail as such :cautious:

The second showing the area with the alter, main window and some choir seating

And a final one that's been online for a few weeks as it was my POTD for the day looking into the tower showing the stained glass and the stone masonry (y)

As with all my photo's C&C is welcomed and appreciated (y)

Shame about the fire extinguisher in the first one.

I like the effect in this building. Having recently acquired a fisheye, I'm recognising they aren't the easiest of things to use!

I have to agree about #3. That's my favourite too.

They're an acquired taste, but I bet you look at things thinking if the FE will work, you know I hadn't even noticed the fire extinguisher :bang:

Thanks for the feedback (y)

The fish is great fun, great for shots like this. I recently got image trends fish eye hemi plug in and now use it to "defish" some shots making them ultra wide ... Mainly works best on the vertical lines. Worth a peek

Thanks for the tip, I'll check that out as it could be really useful of some photo's (y)

Nice interesting shots, Matt, and some nice creativity. Might be a touch warm on the WB.

Thanks, to be honest the WB was a right pig in there as there was quite a bit of daylight, but also tungten and halogen and I think even some fluresent tubes  but I think maybe especially that last one could be toned down a little (y)

no 1 is the best for the real feal..feel...of the fisheye

Thans Geof, it's a lot of fun to use especially on stuff like this :D

Hi Matt
First works best for me - more interest with pillars etc and WB looks more natural.
Had a play with wb in one of others and thought it was improved by small play.
You've edit ticked, so here's result.

I'll leave on for a short time.

I quite like the third one, though Ive noticed with the bulbs / candles there is a very similar effect to what a star filter would provide (what ever the proper term for it is). Was this intentional? Such as manipulating it in PP?

Either way I really like the effect in the shot, as it is subtle and I feel it adds to the overall feel of the photo.

Im also sorry if my response is a bit confusing, its late and I am very tired :)

That effect came in camera, it's achieved via using a smaller aperture (y) I'm pleased that you like it (y)

Ah right, I never knew you could get that effect from the aperture. You learn something new every day :)

No worries it's one of the wonders of TP (y) it can be even more pronounced on a long exposure :D

Nice job with that fish eye, I think it worth to have one sometimes can be really useful inside old temple, ruins, or churches.

Thanks they really are a specialist lens but one that I really wouldn't be without (y)

Just to have idea... how much it costs a fish eye, considering I have already a 10-24 mm Tamron wideangle

This one cost me 195 is I remember correctly I got it from the classifieds (y)

Matt

As always matt some good shots there, lens really works with the subject :)
