Great shots, again. Were these taken at Upton Warren too ? How far from you are they ? I have some KF photos from Slimbridge, here in Glos. but the pair were nesting in a bank about 50 metres from the hide and even a 500mm prime was struggling to get near them. I think many people who haven't seen them first hand are surprised when they do get sight of one just how small they are.

Great photos once again Kaz, You are really nailing them Kingfishers. Have you seen that new book out, I think it's called Kingfisher, I saw it at Rutland Bird Fair and at Minsmere, It looks a great book with some killer photos from an obsessive Kingfisher photographer. Check it out :)

:) Good work Kaz #1 is a great pose at just the right angle
Ps. Sorry to have started you off on one again

Thanks for the info. I forgot to add that the 500mm f4 next to me had the 1.4 X on.

35 ft. is 10.7 metres - ie. 11 stretched paces.

Some more really nice Kingfisher shots keep them coming.
