A few may remember Brazil the ones I posted a while ago, I have added a few more to my flickr photostream tonight. This set are from Japan, 1969 [the year I was born], taken by my late-pa-in-law on his Kodak Retinette during a trip over there to accompany British Marathon runner Ron Hill to the Fukuoka event.
1 - I love this, commercialism at its finest
2 - this is Aoki San's chauffeur, he was pretty much in charge of Japanese Athletics at the time I am told, and was rich as hell!
3 - the other side of the tracks, as it were.....
Apologies the quality isn't brilliant, the slies have bene in the loft for decades and my scanner is cheap andI am not very good with it, but I think the are lovely glance into the past. More on my flickr of anyone likes this kind of thing.
