Yes
I was asked to take some informal pictures at a mother and baby group that was having a teddy bears picnic, you know the sort of thing, just walk around snapping away - they wanted the pictures for there "scrap book" that documents what they get up to during the year.

All the mums were informed that this would be happening and they all signed release forms, all that is except for this one woman who said she did not want pictures taken of her or her child.

The woman and child were pointed out to me when I turned up and I thought to myself no problem and started snapping away.

It soon became apparent however that this one woman thought I should not be there taking pictures full stop, I overheard her telling another mother as much.

This woman then seemed to make it her mission to try and spoil as many of the pictures I was taking as she could, at one point I was on the opposite side of a great big hall to her and was lining up a shot of a baby in a bouncer that was duly obliging with lots of jumps and giggles when this woman made a bee line to where I was and positioned herself between me and the baby and started talking to the little one.

To say I was somewhat annoyed with this woman would be an understatement! If she didn't want her, or her child's, picture taken then fair enough and not a problem but why go out of there way to try and stop me from taking any pictures of the rest of the mums and there little ones?

Has anyone else found themselves in a similar situation, where someone has gone out of there way to ruin things? If so how did you deal with it?

That's one nasty situation. Never been there myself. Still...if you ever find yourself in the same situation...

Try to have a quiet polite talk with the problematic person to let her know She is spoiling everyone else chances of getting a god photograph.

If that does not work, have a chat with the mum who's child she is getting in front of, tell her that because of this woman she may not get a picture of her child. That should set the fireworks alight.

The ensuing arguments will keep the little bas#@* occupied for some time, giving you the freedom to carry out your work...(or at worst keep you amused) Who knows, with luck she'll may even be kicked out of the event.

Dundonian??
Pretentious Edinburgh?

That is shocking - I'd have had a words with the other parents that had signed the release forms, and explained that you would be unable to take photos as a result of this arrogant oxygen wasters time ...
