Sony 500mm f/4 G SSM

So Sony release a 500mm f4 lens, but you know you can't afford one when Sony don't tell you the price, and say they'll be built to order.

One for the hardcore Sony enthusiasts out there, I think, because you could buy a Nikkor 600/4 and D4 to use it on for similar money....

Built to order, and I don't think that the production line will be troubled too often, but at least it shows Sony are thinking about lens design for the future.

However the nikkor 600/4 is not a top of the line Nikon. That would be the 500/4 that retails for ten grand US. Canon's top 500/4 is also at the ent grand mark pretty much. The Sony US price is suspected to be $12-13000. Not to far off.
