Sony flash advice please - which of these do I pick or something else?

Looking for myself this time, I'd like to get a flash for my A200 for Christmas.
I've not got a lot to spend so it will be a budget one. Only done some basic reading on some but feeling more pressured that I have to order really soon unless I can get one locally as travelling to see family on the 24th (weather permitting) so would like to have it by then if possible.

Seen this Jessops branded 360AFD one for £69, but it doesn't seem to have TTL metering, which am I right to believe is a pretty big selling feature? Bonus is it can be collected from my local store though.

They also have a Sony one for £109 which is above my £100 budget but seems to have the TTL. This is out of the running though as not available for delivery and out of stock, but it would be nice to know how it compares to the others.

Metz 36 AF-4 for £69 has TTL and a GN of 36. Any good for the price?

Jessops 280AFM from ebay for £50? Dedicated TTL?

Also found this YN-460 for the bargain price of £34 Is it garbage or a good price? Probably won't ship in time though.

So what's the verdict?

The £109 Sony flash is not very good, it's only a tiny bit more powerful than the pop up flash and so it's pretty much useless.

The £69 Jessops flash does have TTL, it just doesn't support ADI (I don't think).

The Metz I've heard is a very good flash but I've never used one so can't fully comment on it.

The Jessops 280 is one I've never heard of but it sounds quite weak if Jessops model number is anything to go by.

The Yongnuo is a highly raved about flashgun for the price but they are normally recommended for off camera flash and studio use etc because I think they lack TTL functionality and the build quality I hear is adequate but for the price tag it's an absolutely amazing flash.

Out of all of them I'd say go for the £69 Jessops one or the Metz.
 
Cheers guys, what's the difference between TTL and ADI? Is one more important/better than the other or more importantly will it really matter for me getting a budget one?

I think the main purpose of that one is to stick on an A850/900 to use as a controller for other Sony flashguns used off-camera. Only the 20 and 58 can do that IIRC.
 
Thanks guy, I think I'm just going to go with the Jessops 360AFD for now and see how I get on over Christmas. No risk of it not arriving in time and if I have any issues at least I'll have a brick and mortar store to go back to

Yeah that's why it was created for the a850/a900 I also hear it's actually better than the pop up flash if you only want to do infra red triggering but for the same price you could get a decent pair of wireless triggers.
 
Sorry for butting in on someone else's thread but I have just bought a Jessops flash for my A200 from ebay (£44) and could do with some tips on how to use it to best effect, also which batteries are best etc. Thanks in advance

ps noticed a jessops flash for Sony for sale in the Classifieds on here for £45 I think
