Hey people,
Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong section, but I am new to these forums. I am 13 years old, and have done babysitting, lemonade stands, washing peoples cars and whatever I can to earn some money. What I have managed to save up for about a year ago was the Sony NEX 5N, 16 megapixels with the 18-55mm lens. I have used the camera quite a lot and have enjoyed it. I have managed to save up £150 to buy a new lens and am wondering if someone can help me decide what lens to get. I am not that good at setting the aperture manually, but I think I am slowly getting the hang of it. I don't really mind about the lens whether it be a 18mm or a 300mm, I will find things to use them for eventually such as taking picture of cars far away or taking pictures of the landscape. After doing some research I have came up with the Sigma 30mm F2.8 but am wondering if there are any better lenses. I don't mind buying a lens or filters separately, as long as it has an auto function.
Thanks

The 30/2.8 is a cracker, I'd definitely recommend it!

If you're interested in other, longer focal lengths, grab a legacy lens mount adapter and a load of cheap manual focus film lenses. Although you have to focus and set the aperture manually (on the lens), for £30.00 you could get yourself a 300mm zoom lens and an adapter. Or a 135/2.8 and and adapter. Add that to the £120.00 you'll need for the Sigma 30/2.8 and you'll have a nice set with the 18-55mm kit lens :)

Thanks for your help! I am wondering if there are ANY other good lenses available within my budget. I don't really mind if I have to use an adapter as long as it works well.
Thanks

theres a whole host of good to great vintage lenses, id recommend
a fast prime (f1.8 50mm is a classic, and its hard to make a bad one of those)
a macro lens (tend to be more expensive, or you could get cheapo macro extension rings to use with your classic lenses
a longer range zoom

tamron adaptall stuff is generaly decent stuff, u could get a 70 to 210 cheap as chips i think
