Sony RX100 iii

I've been looking at adding a smaller compact and I wondered if any one would care to share their experiences with this camera?

I've been using the fuji system more and more recently and love the retro styling and whatnot. What I would really love is a pocketable camera, hence the reason for looking at the RX. It's either that or look at a slightly larger compact like the X30 when that's released.

Why I would prefer the X30 to the RX100 lll
Larger more useful zoom range
Fully featured wifi remote viewing, focus and settings with GPS
More direct controls and programmable buttons
easier to hold and operate.
Faster hybrid focus especially in low light.
better viewfinder and information + tiltable screen
Hot shoe and off camera flash capability.
Higher top shutter speed.
1/3 stop slower ar wide setting but faster the top end of the sony FL range and beyond.

The sony can produce slightly higher ultimate quality images due to its larger sensor and more pixels. but in practice there is little different in the results compared to the X30, due to the different sensor pattern and no diffusion from a a low pass filter.
The Sony is far more of a point and shoot camera with far fewer programmable direct controls. these are replaced in the depth of the menu system.
The X30 has controls and functions very similar to those found on an enthusiasts DSLR. so is more intuitive to use. There is a 5 to 7 second lag moving from View finder to screen composing on the sony. This is instant and automatic with an eye sensor on the X30.
The sony is quite a lot smaller, and more expensive.

Thanks. I've spent most of the day looking at reviews etc and i have to say, the size factor of the RX is really putting me off now. It looks tiny in the hand and I've really became quite used to the size of the X line up.

Not sure the thread was needed as with one reply and a couple of hours I've already made up my mind
