South Lakes Wildlife Park, practising with new lens

It was very snowy yesterday at the SLWP. So snow that most animals had more sense than to venture outside. But I wanted to practise with my new Sigma 150-500 lens. Its very heavy so will take a bit of getting used to.

The stars of the day though were the robins, it was nice to be able to get some nice shots of something relatively wild!! I'll post two of them in the wild birds section as its not an area I been able to post in much up to now.

Superb 2nd & 3rd shots

Know what you mean about the weight,just bought a 50-500 & thinking I need to start weight lifting !

Love close up shots so thyours really tick the box for me,well done

Thanks for the feedback. The first one isn't quite as sharp as I would have liked. But I was very happy with the Rhino and Lion especially due to them being inside and shooting at ISO 1600 which I don't think I've ever done before.
