I've a soft spot for star-trails - and this one is no exception I like the composition and and the subject! Niiice!

Two things: Where was it taken? And what settings did you use?

You are right. At first sight, the home page covers about 40 minutes. If no one spots the new thread in that time, we might all miss out on some staggering shots.

Fantastic we dont see stuff like this, to much light pollution in UK, well lancashire any way great shot

exif says 1217.8 seconds

Does Nikon do the dark frame noise reduction for the same 1217.8 seconds afterwards like canon does?
