thanks for feedback - yep, using diffuser, lowest power and flash heads swivelled away from the subject...too dark without the flash, will have another try with some neg' flash compensation or ISO/aperture combinations

Rather than use low power just use ETTL - what diffusers / flash are you using ?

Some impressively detailed shots. Just how close do you have to get for these?

BTW, looking at the positions of the legs in pics #1 & #4; Are they dead ones?

@Paul - using the 24EX with the stofen diffusers, sure I read somewhere about always using the flash in manual mode as well as the camera, but will give ETTL a shot next time I try some


@Vicky - not dead, but not very warm either and probably about 8/10" for the full body shot in no.4 & 2/3" for the rest
