whilst out digging the garden i noticed these little fellas, all taken with a 100mmL lens some with a complete set of extension tubes and some without. all shots in the grass taken handheld.

Excellent shots, crystal clear in the right places. Shame I'm terrified of spiders :( Like 5 best, looks like it's squaring up to fight you

Woah my girlfriend would freak seeing these. Excellent shots. Is it wrong how I love how terrifying spiders can look?

Can't say I've seen any spiders this large in Britain either! Not that I'm looking to scary myself witless.

I hate spiders so I won't be trying to replicate your set :eek::eek:

cheers FrankCastle Lez325 DaiTheDragon DanielShillcock Cliffsh & shogran for taking the time to comment (y)

the light was tricky with these and i increased the f no. to 22 to get a bit more of the body in focus on the fence shots, but i feel the f no. @ 9 as in the last two shots works best with the shallow dof

number 5 looks best to me, nice contrast to the background and lots of detail. the hairs on its legs look like spikes. proper evil. love it :)
