Yes
A small local air display with a couple of spits doing their stuff.

1st is a Spitfire Mark VIII HF owned locally, it needed a bit of ballast on the tail to make it safely down the hill from the strip - hence the guy sat on the tail ! The second is the double seater which recently sold at bonhams for £1.7 million.

This was my first time photographing aircraft and I messed up most of the in flight pics by using too slow a shutter speed - we live and learn :bonk:

Nice set lovely prop blur. pity about the helicopter in shot 3. Any chance of a link to a larger pic 1?

Great shots, they look so right on a grass strip as opposed to an artificial airshow type environment. No1 and the last one under the tree are my favourites.

Number 1 great.................. shot makes it look what it most certainly must have been like during ww2 in rurual England

Lovely shots!

Number 3 can I see a Westland Scout?

If so do you have any more pictures of her? I would be interested in the tail number as my dad flew Scouts in the Falklands War.

Well spotted on the Westland, piccy here for you, she is regd G-NOTY and owned locally.

Thanks waspjunior.

Had a look through the log book and it looks like he flew it back in his training days.
