This was my first (mostly) in focus macro photograph after finally getting a macro lens a couple of weeks ago. The photo is nothing special but whilst editing i spotted a cartoon character from my childhood somewhere on the spider.
My missus thinks i am mad as she can't spot it.
I wont give out any clues just yet, i will see if anyone else is eagle eyed ( or mad )

Your are correct with the age. Ok i will give you a clue, well its two clues really. He made his debut in 1945.
 
I'm seeing a face on the abdomen above the rear legs but also on the Sternum I'm seeing kind of a face. Wolverine?

Digisatman you are correct.
He is just above the back legs looking slightly to our left.
