St Marys church Failsworth

Did 3 exposures of this hand held and tried the hdr thing.Not the best but I am sure some of you guys n gals could tell me where I am going wrong.

Hand held and HDR do not go to well together, much better to use a tripod. In your shot the dynamic range, the difference between the darkest and lightest parts of the shot, is very large. For this shot I would bracket 5 exposures with 2 stops difference between them, you have managed to get details in the shadows of the roof but little on the rear side of the figure. I do like the composition and the framing though, worth a re-shoot.

Great just the response I needed. All was not lost then ? To be fair there is no details on the figure as it is like a smooth concrete.
