After enjoying last week in the snow,I went back with chum Flavio and did a few more.
Was first time out full frame with D700,so a bit of learning exercise.
Camera and glass is excellent, just the operator needs a bit of work.

Was a very good learning experience and they can be trickier than you realise.

Can't beat a good old steam engine eh? I'm liking the last one (4) best, although i'd probably have tried to leave a touch more space to the right of the train. A minor quibble though.

The first shot is ok but fails to convey any sense of motion. Neither shots 2 or 3 do much for me I'm sorry to say.

Thanks for the comments,Hepburn,all appreciated.

They don't go very fast sadly, due to line restrictions and motion is very hard to achieve even at slow shutter speeds.

Most of the railway togs we met yesterday ,(I am more motorsports) were telling us they only want very specific shots, and only when the sun is out ,which surprised us,but for us it was a different and enjoyable gig that I will do more of.

B/W was also frowned by the lads we met, which again was a surprise.

Thanks for your input.
