stone girl

Not keen I'm afraid - it appears that the focus is on the plants in front of the statue. Personally I'd have put the statue in focus and thrown the front and read leaves OOF with a wide aperture. I'd also have been tempted to give the top of the statue a little more "breathing space" before the top of frame.

Also, I'm not particularly impressed with the framing to be honest - but then I've just spent so much time doing traditional wet printing that the ragged frame edge look is lost on me

I quite like it and IMO I think the composition is good but IMO what would really "make" this photo would be if possible to get rid of the foliage in front of the base; it really distracts my eyes from the main subject (the statue) and would leave the statue being the main point of interest. Other than that I can't really see how to make this one work. Also would like more detail in the head, looks a little over exposed/washed out though that may be recoverable in photoshop.

In summary; Good but not there yet.
