First on is excellent, nice and sharp and shows off the eye very well, and the blueness to the feathers

Good exposure though I think it has either been cropped too strongly or sharpened too much since there is a slight halo around the bird. Nice shot though and lots of feather detail.

Firstly Ash ... Congratulations on the change of signature ...

First shot has most of the right bits to it ... Nice DOF and no bits cut off. It does look a little soft though.

Second shot is very soft and smaller for some reason ..

They are hard buggers to catch though because they don't stand still for long

Yep tis a Jackdaw. Good shot but the over-sharpening is very obvious with that halo. Damned good effort all the same.
