Following on from my thread of last week...

...which was rather better received than I had hoped or expected, I have salvaged a few more from the sequence. I make no claims for their merit as photographs - this extraordinary squall never seemed to properly 'present' itself for good shots, and I anyway had the wrong lens, but I add these for a certain documentary interest.

From the shot in the earlier thread, the squall followed the fields around to our right..

and continued to make a tight circle around us,

eventually heading back in precisely the direction from which it had come.

Spooky.

Wow, wrong lens or not, these are stunning, number 3 for me really stands out. A moment well captured!

Excellent skies :) Show my bales up as quite dull :D

Three very nice shots!

Very nice set Toby. May I ask where abouts in Essex, being and ex. pat Essex Lass me'self?

You are a long way from Essex now, for sure.

This is my regular wandering ground between Fyfield, Willingale and High Ongar, site of an old WWII bomber base, but now thankfully reverted to open, rolling arable land interspersed with woods, and surprisingly sparsely populated.

Thankyou to Jim, Dark Star, John and Donna for your kind comments.
