Suggest a new tripod?

I think its time i had a tripod thats ok with holding a D200 and a 70-200 F2.8 without bending!
I'm 6ft2 if that matters, any suggestons?

I'd like to go low and highish, if thats possible?

Budget of about 70/80

I have the 055XPROB with a max height of 178cm prob good for your height its to tall for me but i am only a shorty i have a 400D with a canon 70-200 f2.8 is and on the tripod its solid as a rock also i have the 410 junior geared head hope thats of some help

Im with Pokey on this one I have a D200 with an 80-200 & im 6ft 2" but Ill be getting very shortly the Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod 804RC2 head

One of the 055 models - whichever takes your budget. The MF ones are lighter, but quite a it more expensive. I have the 055 MF4.

I have the same body and lens, am similar height and use a 190 xprob. Works fine....

Bit over budget once you buy the head, but it will last you ages.

I am 6ft 3", I have an anciant old (20yr+)055B and a new 804rc for D80 with grip and 300f4. used to use a 168qr ball head but I could never the horiz when tilting

yes but you can choose whatever head you desire i suppose it depends on what pics you want to take so you can choose the head to your liking and your camera
