John, I don't often like that into sun/flarey sort of shot but think you have pulled it off particuarly well, especially keeping detail in the foreground - well done and thanks for sharing. (y)
 
thats great, nice even flare, plenty of detail, especially in the foreground and clouds. must of been a nightmare to meter, how'd you do it?

Worth waiting for this one - you got it bang on m8 ! Even the flare adds to the composition in this one.

lumpster, whilst the original image didnt look too bad I decided to create two TIFFs with slightly different exposures from the RAW file. I then merged them in Photoshop and masked the upper layer.
Hopefully, I've done a reasonable job.
 
Beautiful shot, very difficult to get the exposure right on shots like this and looks like you have pulled it off brilliantly, add to that a good choice of setting and fine composition (y)
