I've stumbled across this desktop and think it might be useful for landscapers like myself. The app gives the position of the rising and setting point of the sun on the horizon at any given time of the year.

As shown in this particular graph, it tells me that if I want to shoot the shards of rock seaward at Duckpool Bay in Cornwall I need to shoot there mid to late March or September in order for the setting sunlight to hit the rocks to the right without being obscured by the headland. Presently the sun falls to the left of the rocks in question and although I can still shoot with light hitting the rocks (left side) I have to shoot towards the headland - not really ideal for what I want.
If anyone knows of a similar app for Android do please let me know. Hope someone will find this useful.
