Critique Sunset on the Moors

Thanks Martin I have been wondering where to go to see a really nice sunset around here! If it was me I might of cropped the shot to take out a bit more of the dark foreground. I really like a "big sky" on sunset shots and this fits the bill for me.

I was in a quandary about the foreground because if I crop it so there is much less, it puts the setting sun practically on the deck. I'll have a quick look at it.

How about now, any better?

Yes, works for me.

I think the image requires straightening - I think 3% would do.
I often wonder whether or not to straighten images that in fact are already straight. You see the landscape does actually slope from the left to the right and the camera was dead level.

Sometimes you cannot straighten nature.

It’s obvious that in the distance is a hill, not a flat horizon. As @medwaygreen says, you can’t straighten nature. Leave as it is. As an aside, it would pose less of a conundrum were there more “horizon” to see, ie, include more land. Nice sunset, anyway.
