T-mobile do an Internet booster, where for £20 you get six months of unlimited Internet for free. Does anyone know if this will work if I buy this booster and then put the sim in an iPad?

Thanks

Best bet is to talk to T-Mobile. If you can get to one of their shops try it out.

Don't forget that with the iPhone 4 you can now use this to generate a local hotspot, and piggy back the iPad onto it using the iPhones' connection. Vodaphone charge £5/ month for this with a 500Mb limit ( from memory. ) You need only activate the local hotspot when you need it and the month runs from when it's enabled. ( But it is for a calender month once you switch it on ) Don't need it anymore? Turn off Local Hotspot

Ah right good. My gran is thinking of getting one, but she doesn't have WIFI so the 3G one is a must.
I already pay them £20 pm, don't really want to increase it yet!

I've got a PAYG sim , I just pay the £20 every six months, works a charm :)

That's good to know! I can't work out why there are people still paying the outrageously expensive iPad sim only deals!

If they understood the concept of a bargain/value for money they wouldn't be buying Apple.

Is it for a micro sim or full size sim? ( i know you can cut them down) but it may be that if you asked for a micro sim on the deal they would say no. Best to ask them and see.

PAYG standard SIM + cutter = Cheap internet

Ps if anybody wants to borrow mine drop me a PM

Possibly a dumb question but where can you buy just an iPad 2 3G? I've only ever seen them on sale attached to a contract.

I've just ordered my free t-mobile SIM card for my laptop (which has a SIM card slot!) Will be doing the £20/6 month PAYG service with it. Nice....

Just to yupdate - went into tmobile and asked if they'd send the text away for me as I don't have a phone that will accept tmobile, but when I said the £20 for 6 months he said he'd do it for a fiver! So 6 months Internet for a fiver and the samenin 6 months too! :D
