tablet pc

Hello everyone

I'm looking to get a laptop and am keen on the idea of a tablet style one so that I can draw straight onto the screen when editing and so on.

Has anyone had any dealings or experience with said pc's and if so any recommendations and/or important things to consider would also be welcomed..

never had experience with the above but I do use an external tablet and find it much easier to control than just using a normal mouse. I'm not sure how much the said laptops would cost but surely its best to go for an all round laptop and external tablet?

Touchscreen tablet pc's are fairly expensive, although I would maybe take a look at HP who seem to have a few touchscreen pc's, although for photo editing I'd imagine an external tablet would be better again, not sure how accurate a laptop touchscreen would be.

Tablet PCs won't come close to the quality and control of a Wacom, if you want it simply for the input (rather than portability) I would suggest the Cintiq 12WX at around £800.

If you need portability too get a normal laptop and a small wacom Intuous

Dont get a tablet laptop, they go wrong all the time.

We have so many come back at work, really not worth it.

Go for a wacom instead.
