Lovely vibrant colours youve captured. Good composition too, the pheasant is 'looking into' the shot, and youve left a little bit of black space on the left for it to look into

what does 'bokeh' mean?

That lovely out of focus background. The more even in tone it is, the less distracting it becomes.

Great first post by the way.

It's usually worth giving a picture a bit of sharpening after it has been sized for web display, as this process often "softens" it.

I can only echo what others have said above.

Here is a before and after to show what sharpening does for your image.

As you can see, it adds quite a bit of definition to the image.
method used: Lab colour, lightness channel (100,0.2,0 x5)

Have a look at Paint shop pro, lot cheaper and near enough as good.
