Evening all,

Just a quick question if I may?

In order to take continuous shots I have to set my D40x onto Sports mode. Is it possible to take more than one shot in Manual mode? I want to try and get into the habit of taking more than a single shot so that I increase my chances of taking a better picture!

Many thanks

Dave

Change control to S or A or P press the info button use 4 way contoller to select shooting mode and change to continous shooting. You'll get 2.5 fps in the continous mode before your buffer fills up with images

or

In the custom settings menu No 4 you should be able to change that to continuous

Personally I read the manual, it's has some useful info in it.....sorry had to state the obvious

I have tried this and yet it still only takes the one picture :bang: Perhaps it's the lens?

go to menu

custome settings menu [the little pencil]

scroll down to 4 [shooting mode]

right click [next to ok on the dial above the delete button]

scroll to continuous and your away. click ok

just tried it works fine.

Ah yes I made that mistake at first.

It does say it in the manual though:)

it's not the lens

It's not the lens, if it works in AUTO mode (i.e SPORTS mode) then it's not the lens. Are you sure you see 3 boxes one on top of the other Shooting Mode navigated too by pressing the i and using the 4 way controller and your using either A Aperture, S Shutter or M Manual modes on the control dial, it should work.

Are you shooting JPEG or RAW?
