Big breath, basically I've reached a point where my kit (A200)is holding me back, so seeing that my mentor is a Canon man and all my buddies seem to be on Canon, I've taken the plunge and:

I've traded my Alpha in and ordered a 50d

Definitely a good move that way you can borrow kit etc and helps them to teach you.... but be warned it can add to the expense as you might like what you borrow a little too much !!
