Hi all.
Need help in deciding between a tamrac evo 6 or 8.
In the website i cant really tell the difference. I currently use a flipside 200. Everything fit only just but no room for filters, diffusers etc.
My current gear consists of 60d, tamron 17-50, 18-135, 50prime, speedlite 430.
I know both bags should take my equipment fine but will one be very tight or the other be excessive?
Cheers

Hi, I have a Tamrac Evolution 8. For the gear I have at the moment (D3100, Nikkor 18-55, Nikkor 70-300, various square and round filters) it is somewhat overkill, but I chose it over the 6 because of the laptop sleeve, which I find extremely handy for notes etc.

I'm not sure how the size of your lenses, camera and flash relate to what I have, but in case it helps, I think if I fitted in two more lenses the same size as my 70-300, then I would call my gear a comfortable fit (but not tight by any means).

I have the Evo 6. It will hold my usual filters, lenspen, to key blower etc.

In terms of gear, it can fit a gripped d7000, 24-70, 12-24, 50 and my 55-200 but it is tight. This should be a fairly similar size to your set up.
Hoods can't be kept on the lens in the big, even reversed, as it'll be too tight then, so I don't usually take them with me or I'll chuck them in the personal compartment with my filters etc.
