Tamron 17 - 50 hood

I have bought a used tamron 17 - 50 non vc which came without a hood.

Would the cheap generic amazon or ebay ones do or should I get the Tamron DA09.

I got a lens without a hood (not the Tamron, but I suspect my experience will be the same). I got a cheapo one - from Premier Ink.
It doesnt fit as good, and is awkward to take off. However - it shields the lens and I never take it off - so no problem here...

Thanks. I won an auction on a used genuine one. Just waiting for delivery.

Knowing me will probably not use it as often but prefer to have it.
