Tamron 500mm adaptall

Hi All
My brother has just picked himself up a Tamron SP 1:8 500mm macro 55B lens from his local charity shop. I was trying to find out what mount he would need to fit it on a D3100. A lot of places do the adaptall 2 mount so was wondering if that would fit?
Hopefully some knowledgeable person can help us as it's all a bit confusing!

adaptall was/is a great system, basicaly every lens was its own thing, and you bought a adapter to go from lens to whatever type of body you have, and it adapted to nearly every 35mm system

so ebay or amazon for adaptall nikon

Good luck with the lens, not quite the same but this thread gives you a bit of an idea what the images might be like, I'd love to find one of these in a charity shop.
