Tamron 70/300 zoom lens

Hi to all
Have been in USA for a couple of weeks and having trouble with a zoom lens
Have posted earlier regarding the above lens, whilst using the zoom part manually it is very stiff and feels notchy the auto focus works very smoothly can anyone suggest a way to sort this out.
If no solution will have bite the bullet and source another lens.

There have been quite a number of Tamron 70-300 AF zooms over the last 30 years. You may need to be more specific, but most likely if it's an older model then replacement is the only option. Tamron definitely don't repair older models.

Many thanks for that information being new to photography it's good to get good advice regarding what to do, will start looking at replacing the lens flying back from USA tomorrow so will look for a replacement, now that will be a steep learning curve for me.
