Tamron 70-300mm 4/5.6 DI LD

Hi all

Today has been a great day for me. My wonderful lady has just bought me an early birthday present (birthay is feb 11th). The Tamron 70-300mm.

Its the first new lens I have bought since getting my DSLR so is quite a big/important step for me.

I love it! I am astounded at the optical quality compared to my samsung 50-200mm, and I am already enjoying the extra 100mm reach. The 1:2 marco is also something I think I will have great fun with.

Congrats Rob----Its a good lens.I got some great images from mine.It did struggle in poor light though.

tis a good lens, I have one for canon, and only replaced it when i picked up an L series bargain

Jessops were doing it at £59, I stumbled accross the price in town today so couldn't leave it in the shop!! Just going to post in the bargain section on here as the cheapest I had found even on the net was £119!
