Tamron AF 70-300mm F4-5.6 Di - £50?

My brother has this lens, and wants £50 for it. I only have my kit lens atm, and will be buying a prime soon so this could be a good option as well.

Is £50 a good price for this lens or should I be looking at anther lens second hand?

Hi Ben,
I don't have any experience with this particular lens but I did have a Tamron 55-200 which I was perfectly happy with, I only upgraded to a Nikon 70-300 to get VR. As the seller is your brother you will know how the lens has been looked after and for £50 I don't think you can go wrong, I certainly don't think you will buy any other 70-300 for that money.

My advice would be to try it on your camera and see if the images are to your liking. If they are then £50 is a good price

Compltely agree with this, from a quick look they sell on a well renowned s/h site for £79 so if you dont get on with it you may make abit of money be it a tiny bit.
