Technical question - Focusing

Recently while I was out taking pictures I accidentally knocked my tripod over with the camera (16-85mm lens) still attached. Thankfully, the tripod hadn't been set up too high and the ground was soft grass. Unfortunately since, when I set the camera to its widest setting the camera can only focus for infinity at 1.5ft 0.38m and vice versa - this was the focal length when I knocked it over. On all other focal lengths the lens works fine and can still autofocus albeit at the wrong distance at the widest.

Is this a problem that I need to get sorted out? Or can I simply continue to shoot with it?
