Testing my Sony a350

decided to take the plunge and buy my first DSLR and went for the Sony A350, here is my first attempt, a shot of the Isles of Scilly helicopter taking off from Penzance Heliport today.

pretty good, try dropping the shutter a bit to get some blur on the blades to make it look a bit more real

Nice photo, try droping your shutter speed to 250 or lower (if you can still keep everything steady !) and the blades will not be frozen.

thanks for the comments, much appreciated.

As I said this was shot in Auto mode and was my first "real shot in anger" so to speak.

I'll get used to the camera in auto first then I'll start getting adventurous with the settings

I'll certainly try again with a lower shutter speed, thanks

Nice shot, Got your self a real good camera there. (I have one also)

The camera itself is very very easy to use once you master what functions do what and what settings are best used
