Testing the 50mm!

I got my 50mm today and was testing it for portraits, i had no willing humans, so i used the cat!

F/4 ISO280 1/60 Flash Used.

From the look that cat is giving you that wasn't the first shot :)
 
Its a nice shot, but tbh I'm not sure the flash helped. Assuming the lens is a 1.8, I'd be tempted to open it all the way out and ditch the flash. Up the ISO if needs be. Its amazing how much you can get out of that lens, even in low light conditions.

Oh, and I can see your reflection in the cat's eyes :bat:

Its a cracking lens (well the Canon version is) - have fun with it
 
Nice shot..I'm sure you will love that little lens,its a great lens for the money.

The DOF was too small at f/1.8, and also i couldn't get any detail on the fur without the flash. Im really loving this lens, can't wait until the new camera comes so i can use AF!
