The Canon range

I have a canon 1000D.
Where does that rank in the canon range from oldest to newest?

Here's a list of them all in chronological order, but so far as the range goes, it's at the lower end. Oddly the list doesn't include the 1dx yet. Make sure to select the correct region, for camera names.

In short, a 1 series is top of the range, followed by other single digit cameras, followed by double digit, then triple, etc.

The 1000d was built to get a cheaper camera than the 450d onto market.

It's been superseded by the 1100d.
