Took these two shots of Eider Ducks a couple of days ago at Seahouses. C+C welcome.

very subtle whites on Mr. E
I like that you can see him paddling under the water (Polarizer?)
the head on Mrs E looks "too big"
is that just the perspective?

Thanks Mike. I didn't use a polarizer in the first shot (I don't have one for the 100-400 lens), the water in the harbour where I took these shots was very clear and it was quite overcast at the time. I think as you say it's just the angle from which I took the shot of the female that makes the head look big.

Glad you made it, both these are very good, i like the female Eider which is often described as drab but as your photo shows has a lovely subtle plumage.
