I heard this on the radio - World Service, middle of last night. She spoke meaningfully & with integrity.

The houses & the setts in the picture remind me of parts of Manchester as I knew it in the 60's. I was hardly taking photos then, but an old friend of mine (now 75) was:

I heard it late in the night too. When I see photos taken in the early sixties I'm always struck how like photos taken twenty/thirty years earlier they look. I have vague memories of Liverpool and Glasgow back then and that's what I remember. Trams, trolley-buses, and steam trains. Surely I'm not that old? :LOL:
