went out for a days hawking with a goshawk, i am a falconer myself, but took the camera out instead. light wasnt to good in some places so had to bump the iso up, but these are some of the results.
 
They're a stunning bird and (perhaps because of the Sparrow Hawk) many folk don't realise just how large they are.

You did well to catch the 1st shot.

The 2nd does give you some impression of size and the 3rd is a lovely profile.
 
cheers for that, she is a large hawk, weighing in at 2lb 11oz, the average spar wieghs around 10-15oz for a female. I may have got the shot in the first image, but alas, she didnt get the pheasent.:crying:

I recognised the pheasant - figured she'd be 'toast'
