Only visible from southern hemisphere locations this was captured on a holiday to South Africa. Unfortunately it is/was the "rainy" season over there so only got a tiny fraction of the imaging time I wanted to get in...still pleased to have seen it though and get a grab shot. This is a very large object in the sky and only just fits in the FOV of the 135mm lens using a full frame camera. It is also quite bright being rather obvious as a cloudy patch in the sky.

Equipment:
Baader Modified Canon 6D camera
Canon 135mm f/2 L lens
AstroTrac TT320X mount

Image is a stack of 21x 30 second subs at ISO1600 (all that I could manage).

Looks like you had your tracking spot on.
I'm always amazed at how many stars are captured even in a small patch of sky.
Well done for taking the time and effort to capture this amazing object for yourself.

Excellent, that's great (y)

I like the shot and what size was the final image when all stacked?

Wishing I never sold my Astrotrac - only used it once too :(

Lovely. Have to admire someone who takes a tracking mount on holiday! I tried it once, but it was the first thing to get left behind when the suitcases were overweight.
