My original intention was to go for a black & white very high contrast photograph but when it got to the post production stage I decided that I would go for a lower contrast de-saturated look as this suited the mood of the photograph better.

I like the low key mean n moody look. Very Robert Mapplethorpe. Mono would look good, as would a square crop

I did actually try a square crop but because of a lack of head room it meant I would have had to have chopped my shoulders off which didn't look so good so I stuck with this crop.

I also tried it out in mono but preferred the heavy de-saturated look instead, it is almost mono. Quite unlike me really as I'm normally a b&w freak.
