It was cloudy here last night so I missed the lights. I'm fairly sure the ones tonight were not as impressive but still good to see, or rather record. I could see only the merest suggestion of green in the sky but there were, to the eye, clearly milky coloured rays across the northern horizon.

What you did see you have captured very well, I really like this composition and the subtlety the lights have given to this image.
 
Thanks guys. All a bit hit and miss, for me anyway. I've seen the lights from Scotland a couple of times and I now know if the the alerts indicate there is a chance it is worth going out. In the village there was nothing to see and even though the ones last night were better than those I saw late last year and I was across the bay from the village, it took a while for the eyes to adjust.
