Right, we all know there are two Canon 50mm f/1.8 lenses; the ubiquitous Mark II and the elusive Mark I. But I'm wondering, are there any other Canon 50mm f/1.8 lenses?

I saw one in a used camera shop window but it didn't look much like pictures I've seen of the Nifty Fifty Mark I.

:help: please

there are the 50mm F1.8 with the FD mount, i.e. manual focus, one of them maybe?

Probably the 50mm FD series which preceeded the current EF (autofocus) series. I have one on my Canon A1. You can get an adapter to use one on an EOS camera, you'll just be limited to manual focus.

Well there were plenty in the old 'FD' fit too.

The 50mm is a great lens and truly deserves its place in history!

Cheers,
James
