Dunno... I think open fields are just about the dullest photographic subject there is (other than pigeons, possibly). Just because something is nice to look at, doesn't necessarily mean it'll work in a photo. imho.
If you're up on a hill overlooking miles of countryside with something of interest in the frame, then fair enough. This one is far too low down - so low in fact that you can barely even see the line of trees at the other side of the field. There's simply nothing to look at.
