The Pier Masters Sunset

Taken on Christmas day when the docks where completely empty.

I let the right amount of light/aperture(still pretty much a beginner) In my camera to make the now disused and boarded up Pier master's office that looks like a mini castle a Silhouette In the exposure .

This Is the Salisbury dock part of the Liverpool docks on the Waterloo road.

I was so determined to get down the docks that even though my bike wheels ball bearings broke, I just traveled by sprinting as much as I could and walked the rest as I didn't want to keep missing my chance and waiting till it was a Sunday and decent weather.

Twas worth It In the end, even though my trainers were caked In sand after taking a wrong turn getting out the docks and sunk Into feet high sand, ha!ha!

HDR was mostly used because the original looked underexposed.

Lovely silhouette, sounds like you had to go through a few trials to get this pic! The colours in the sky and really nice and I like the halo effect around the sun.

Good on you for chasing down the picture, it was worth it

Yeah I snuck In a fenced off part of the docks and got some advice off some urban explorers who have been there before.
