The annual running of the "Scarborough Spa Express" started a fortnight ago so here's a couple of shots.

Canon 40D + 28-70mm f/2.8 with medium NDgrad filter.
 
Both good shots but I rather like #1, very unusual shot of such a subject... nice one!
 
Love the second, and excellent that you had the foresight to use a GND on the sky! (y)
 
Like both of those, but particularly #1 - great detail and lots of interest! Almost a timeless shot!
 
wow they are a bit good arent they, #1 is just brilliant I could look at it for hrs but #2 is just the dogz nutz a definate wall hanger

Very good images "Barry", first one in particular,love the colours.
 
Actually Stuart, I just had a browse through your gallery and one of the best in my eyes is another one of the Spa Express:

The composition makes you feel like the engine is really working hard!

Like them both, Incredible detail in no.1 and you obviously are well versed in photographing approaching locomotives.

I would also clone out the scrap length of rail in the second shot.
 
Both are very nice capture but i prefer 1 more as its a nice view aswell as capture (y)

i like them both, but #1 has some thing about it.

and no marshalls in the way.
