This small group of Islands sit in the Minch between Sky & Harris.

I am not normally one for the heavy crop but this view of the Shant Isles off the Isle of Harris just has to be shared.

The sky, the light, the colour, the composition of the crop :clap:

Can I ask whether you used any filters?
 
And thankyou very much for sharing it. There is something very magical about the way the light falls through the clouds and picks out the islands in that part of the world.
 
Very nice, but, I'd get rid of the boat (?) right on the horizon between the sea and the Islands :)

George - There are three boats in the picture and I did wonder whether to pick them out. At 800pixels wide they are a fly in the ointment, but bigger they are not so bad. (y)

Oops - sorry Byrhtnoth no filters, handheld on the back of the M.V. Clansman, the boat taking me from Stornoway to Ullapool.

Ah Neil, You still not finished that whisky you took back! Must be cheap light as the glass is L of a good ;)
